Kendall County Illinois
Beginning with the flood of settlement during "The Year of the Early Spring" in 1833, new communities began springing up like daffodils after a warm spring shower. According to contemporary accounts, 1832 enjoyed a warm, early spring when the dirt roads of the era dried out much earlier than usual.

New to Oswego Community Schools? We are now accepting calls to schedule appointments for all new students. Please call 630.636.2404. Registration will be held at Oswego High School, 4250 Route 71, for all grade levels. All new students will need to schedule an appointment to register between Wednesday, July 5th through Thursday, August 10th.

Oswego Fire Protection District
The Oswego Fire Protection District is located approximately 40 miles southwest of Chicago, Illinois. The district is over 60 square miles covering the northwest portion of Kendall County and about 4 square miles in Will County.

The Oswego Township Highway Department was created in the 1850's to provide accessible public roadways for the residents of Oswego Township and those who pass through. This Department handles the Maintenance and reconstruction of over 80 miles of road and adjacent right of way.

Village of Oswego
Located 50 miles southwest of Chicago, Oswego is well situated at the southern end of the Fox River Valley in Kendall County, Illinois. Oswego offered an easy crossing over the Fox River near a ford near the mouth of Waubonsee Creek and the first permanent European settlers arrived in the Oswego area in 1833.
